Door locks
The lock is the part of the door hardware that remains hidden, but which carries out the entire mechanism of opening, closing, locking and unlocking the door. Although it is not visible, the door lock is one of the most important parts of the door, and its functionality determines the performance of any door. Therefore, it is important to choose the right lock, especially when it comes to the exterior door of the home. There are several main types of locks depending on their application: locks for entrance doors, locks for interior doors, locks for emergency exits and specialized locks. Locks for entrance doors are divided into three types depending on the material of the door: locks for armoured doors, locks for wooden doors and locks for profile doors. The prices of locks start from about 10 BGN and go up to over 800 BGN for locks with more complex construction and functions. The locks for interior doors have lower prices than those for entrance doors, as they are also functionally much simpler. Locks for external doors, especially those for armoured doors, are more complex and include various protection systems, e.g.: 3 locking points, locking mechanism in case of an attempt to break the cylinder, anti-snap protection, etc. Emergency exit locks are also called anti panic locks. They are placed at the emergency exits of public buildings and have the property of always opening flawlessly when the door handle or panic bar is pressed on the inside of the door. The prices of anti-panic locks are higher than ordinary locks because of their more specific properties and use.
