Padlocks
Padlocks are the only type of locking system that is not permanently mounted in one place and can be moved as needed. Because of this specific feature, padlocks can be used to lock a variety of things, including the front doors of houses, warehouses, garages, as well as cabinets, bicycles. The first padlock was made of wood about 4,000 years ago. Modern padlocks are made of metal and come in a variety of sizes and varieties. In general, padlocks are divided into two types according to the way they are opened - with a key and with a code. On the other hand, padlocks that open with a key are divided into those with a removable lock and those with a non-removable lock. Some padlocks do not allow the key to be removed while the lock is unlocked, with others this is not a problem. On some padlocks the steel arch is hidden to make it difficult to cut. According to their application padlocks can be used in indoor or outdoor environments. Padlocks suitable for outdoor use are resistant to a variety of weather conditions. There are also electromechanical padlocks with built-in memory, extremely resistant, designed to work in the most extreme weather conditions. According to the material they are made of, padlocks are either steel or brass, and the color varies from inox, to chrome and nickel. The prices of padlocks range from 5 to 250 BGN depending on their strength, size and characteristics. The more secure a padlock is, the higher its price.
